The Cosmic Sound

Dear One,

Does the universe has a voice of it's own? Does it dance it's own mystical tunes? Is there a cosmic rhythm behind every measured movement or is it plain soundless silence in an ever expanding space?

Well, our ancient yogis, or you can say, the world's earliest scientists clearly understood that every object, animate or inanimate has an innate vibration or a palpable sound attached to it. The atoms inside everything has a subtle sound of it's own, waiting to be unlocked by the rightfully attuned. It vibrates to a unique frequency that is primarily inaudible to the human ear but can be heard to the highly evolved spiritual souls. As for us lesser mortals, technology is fast catching up with the old yogi's claims, as it brings the sounds of the universe to the common man's ears.

NASA has managed to record the subtle residual sounds of the various orbiting planets of our solar system using high precision equipments. One of the sound clips, (that of the earth) posted in their website http://www.nasa.gov/vision/universe/features/halloween_sounds.html, has an eerie resonance to the sacred sound of AUM. The ancient yogis knew this primordial sound very well. They heard it in their deepest levels of consciousness when heaven and earth stood still in their meditation. The old western mystics also knew this sound very well, when they said, "In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God." I know, many modern day traditionalists won't support this claim; nevertheless it is in man's nature to interpret the simple and shroud it in mysticism to make it sound inhumanly complicated. So be it with this one too. However, a rose by any other name is still a rose.

Coming to the point, the eternal sound of AUM is the primordial sound of the universe. It is an innate frequency that pulsates within all things alike. It is the cosmic ballet of atoms and space, to the beats of this ancient sound.  It is the very essence of life and creation. The one who knows this sound shall know the Creator as well and everything created. All duality then shall cease to exist. The minute you tune your mental antennas correctly, you shall experience the sound of God. It so powerfully resonates in every atom that every other sound in the universe gets dissolved in it. Then what remains is pure cosmic consciousness.
